| I read yours, now you gotta read mine! Don't let little alternator & air conditioning issues get the best of you. I also got screwed with the test & recharge for $175, and they couldn't find the slow leak. At that point, I decided I'd fix it myself and so far, I've replaced the condensor, evaporator, compressor, all o-rings and one hose that was gouged. I'm hoping to recharge the system and be trouble-free. Overall I've paid only about $150 in parts, and replaced all the components myself. Your tools/workspace/knowledge excuse is, well, just an excuse. You need 10, 12 & 14mm ratchets and a wrench to replace everything that has to do with AC and the alternator. I've replaced an alternator with the car jacked up in a driveway, so workspace is a luxury, not a prerequisite. Don't even get me started on your "knowledge" excuse, just show some will and this whole forum is at your disposal. Stop dumping money in shops, man up and dedicate a weekend to getting your Z in check. Believe me, the satisfaction you'll feel is priceless. :-)
